Canadian Dental Care Plan

Starting May 1st, we will be accepting the CDCP plan for patients who have applied and received a welcome package from SUNLIFE with the provided ID number. This plan covers a wide range of oral health services designed to keep your teeth and gums healthy and to prevent or treat oral health issues.

The CDCP will cover removable prosthodontic services aimed at replacing missing teeth, including:

• Complete dentures (standard and temporary)
• Denture repairs, relines, and rebases
• Lining placement in dentures for comfort and healing
• Complete immediate and overdentures (preauthorization required)
• Initial placement of partial dentures (preauthorization required)
• Replacement of partial dentures

Please note that the CDCP will only cover services at the established CDCP fees, which may differ from the fees recommended by provincial and territorial oral health associations. Any additional charges beyond the CDCP coverage will be the patient’s responsibility.

Existing dentures obtained outside of the CDCP will not affect the application of frequency limits or other plan rules. As the CDCP is a new program, clients may be eligible for new dentures under this plan even if they already have dentures.
